Sonia starts her singing studies with María Victoria Durán at the age of 14, at the Marbella conservatory. Later she continues studying the professional degree in Málaga with Francisco Heredia and in 2015 she finishes her studies of Superior Degree at the Superior Conservatory of Málaga with Alicia Molina.
In 2009 she wins the 3rd Price at the contest “Jovenes Intérpretes” of MarbellaCrea and next year, in 2010, she wins the 1st Price.
Sonia is also part of the collective “Jaén Ópera Joven” since 2010, where she receives masterclasses with Carlos Chausson, Francisco García-Rosado, Susana Gómez and others…
In 2013 she sings as soloist in the New Year’s Concert with the Orquesta Ciudad de Almería in the Maestro Padilla Auditorium, Carmina Burana in the Cervantes Theater of Malaga and also in several assemblies and recitals throughout Andalucia.
During the course 2013-2014 she passes 8 months with a Erasmus Scholarship in Perugia (Italy) where she receives singing classes with Michela Sburlati and Chiara Migliari (with whom she continues receiving vocal technique lessons with assiduity). Also, regularly, she receives classes with Coral Morales (Juventudes Musicales de Granada).
En 2014 she sings as soloist in the worlwide premiere of Alberto Bustos’ “La Misa Tango” in Perugia, Ancona and Cammerino (Italy). Besides other roles, Sonia has interpreted as: Sour Genovieffa in Puccini’s “Suor Angelica”,Sussana in “Le nozze di Figaro”, Olga in Sorozabal’s “Katiuska”, Rosaura in Jacinto Guerrero’s “Los gavilanes”, first lady in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”, Second Witch in Purcell’s “Dido and Aetenas”.
